Update v.1.22
Story Emulator » Devlog
- Added a new option "Block" to the emulator styling section, which allows you to change the color of the program's working blocks, such as the "menu" block, "history" block, or "settings" block;
- Added the "none" item to the list of possible colors, which allows you to select the "no color" option. In this case, the default settings will be applied.
- Added an error message window. Previously, most errors were displayed in the console and users might not even know about their existence. IMPORTANT! These errors are a feedback reaction to incorrect user actions, and not errors that occurred when the system was not working properly, so if an error message appeared, this does not mean that something is broken. It means that the user did something wrong;
- Added a message about changing the values of character parameters when using the cheat mode;
- The size of the test video has been greatly reduced. From the original 64 MB, only 3 MB remain.
- Added translation of almost the entire emulator interface into all 4 base languages.
- Reworked the structure of the directory with history. The "Images" directory was renamed to "Media";
- The "Video" directory was merged with the "Scene" directory. Since videos were, in fact, also scenes, it was decided that there was no need to keep video files in a separate directory from other scenes. In theory, this should make it easier for authors to navigate scenes. ATTENTION! Due to the unification of videos with images, the rules for naming video files were also changed. Now they should be named the same as images. For example: "scene-s26.mp4";
- The "Audio" directory from the main history directory was moved to the "Media" directory;
- The syntax for recalculating character variables in the file has been slightly reworked. Now the variable id and working value do not need to be marked with a slash "/";
- The "Tutorial" option in the "F.A.Q." section is now active. When you click this button, a text file will be opened, which reflects all the necessary syntax with comments to them, so that the authors can understand how to correctly create/design a text file. This file with the name "tutorial.txt" can also be found in the root directory of the emulator next to the file "index.html";
- The structure of the text file has been reworked. The sections "Characters name" and "Characters color" have been combined into one, which should make it easier for the author to navigate among the character data and remove unnecessary "garbage" from the file and program code;
- Several bugs and errors have been fixed.
