Update v.0.98

  • The "language" button in the settings when selecting a language has been removed. Now the interface language changes simply when selecting from the list.
  • The "F.A.Q." section has been redesigned, now it has 4 directories: "changelog" (a list of changes/updates), "tutorial" (instructions for working with the emulator (IN DEVELOPMENT!), "developers" (information about the creators of the emulator and the authors of the projects (IN DEVELOPMENT!)) and "my site" (a link to other resources of mine and, possibly, in the future, the authors' resources.);
  • The list of updates has been removed from the main page of the emulator to the "changelog" section of the "F.A.Q." directory. Now only the latest update is displayed on the main page.
  • A function has been added to block the menu buttons when switching to the "settings" and "F.A.Q." sections, leaving only the exit button from these sections active. This should make it easier for users to navigate the emulator interface.
  • The character tab has been redesigned. Now all the information about the character is displayed there with the ability to edit this data. There is also a character avatar field there. In the character tab, you can scroll through all the available characters in the story and make the appropriate settings. IMPORTANT! You can go back to the story using the "+" button in the dialog box. I haven't come up with another way yet, but I will definitely solve this problem later.
  • The settings for the character dialog boxes have been moved from the settings section to the character tab. I think that in the future it would be nice to make some kind of list of characters on a separate tab.
    Now the emulator can work in two modes: "singlestory" (for use on servers) and "multistory" (for use on local PCs):
    • The "singlestory" mode allows you to connect only one story to the emulator, which will be played on the server, and you will not need to search for a text file for it. ATTENTION! This mode only works when using servers. Local use of the emulator (without any server) in this mode is impossible. IMPORTANT! The path to the text file should ALWAYS be: "./story/game/game.txt", and the file itself should be called: "game.txt", failure to comply with this condition will result in the emulator not working.
    • The "multistory" mode allows you to use several stories at once on one emulator, for which you still need to select a text file before starting. This mode is active by default for local use of the emulator, and was disabled on servers due to a number of problems. Later it will be returned to the server type of using the emulator.
  • You can determine in which mode the emulator is currently running by pressing the "Open file" and "Start" buttons. If the "Open file" button is active, then the emulator is running in the "multistory" mode, if the "Start" button is active, then the emulator is running in the "singlestory" mode.
  • Several bugs and errors have been fixed.
